Sue sold me my first home in 2010 and since then has helped me purchase five more investment properties in Hamilton, as well as strategise a plan to secure a beautiful property in Tolaga Bay by phone.
Just this week, Sue helped me write up a Sale and Purchase Agreement for two units in Gisborne, adding in two very important clauses that allowed me to pull out of the deal if I was unable to secure both units at the same time. I met Sue Hall when she was selling 20 Keats Crescent in Enderley, Hamilton. My partner and I had gone to view the house with and for my daughter and her partner. We were disgruntled and in a state of despair after having viewed and lost a variety of other properties around Hamilton. Sue was professional and informative about the property itself, and she immediately made us feel worthwhile and hopeful about the buying process. We had expressed our concern over how difficult it is for young New Zealanders to purchase a house of their own in this highly competitive environment. Rather than fob us off as we felt other estate agents had done previously, Sue gave us hope and explained clearly how we could put in the most appealing offer to the vendors to buy the property. Sue was empathetic to our situation. She spoke kindly and calmly to our daughter.
Once we had put our offer in, we had arranged a valuer to value the house as was required by the bank. This needed to be done quickly as there were other people lining up wanting to buy the house from under us. The valuer was not helpful and was dragging out the process which was frustrating considering we were relying on this being done quickly. I phoned Sue on behalf of my panicking daughter to see what we could do. Sue went above and beyond and found us a valuer who she convinced to value the house that day so that we could continue to stay in the buying process. I was so grateful to Sue for this. She was communicative throughout the whole process, and she gave Poppy the best advice as to how to make her offer to the vendors one that was accepted.
